Lieutenant-Colonel William Steele has been detained on nine charges, one of which is 'Aiding the enemy'. Right now they're deciding whether this should go to court or not. The date of the alleged offenses range from October 2005 to february 2007. He's accused of aiding the enemy by providing detainees with unmonitored mobile phones. Other charges include knowingly and wrongfully fraternizing with the daughter of a detainee, wherein such acts constituted conduct unbecoming of an officer in the armed forces. No duh to that. He also provided special privileges for an interpreter which was probably helping him in his fraternizing. He also had unauthorized possession of classified information...and willfully retaining the same. He also wrongfully and knowingly possessed pornographic videos. Sounds to me that Colonol Steele is in a lot of trouble. I didn't even know an officer was not allowed to own pornography. Sounds to me like this officer grew exceedingly lonely at the base, which is understandable but some illegal steps he took to aid that were beyond the freaken pale. I decree it looks like this man is in deep cocka. Bottom line, although angry with him, I mostly feel sorry for him.

Now, we just got to do the same to Harry Reid...
But I digress.... It's one thing to reprimand an officer for playing the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" at the detainees, but this guy sounds like a complete scuz. He's screwed. |

The no porn thing is related to a general order for all the troops in Iraq. No one is supposed to have pornography. Nobody really cares and most people don't follow the rule, but the military has a tendancy to charge you with everything they possibly can when you get in trouble.

Moving along if we're gonna talk about the Gitmo "Prison Torture" controversy, Personally, I didn't give a flying (*)(*)(*)(*) when I heard about it and saw it. I was actually a little annoyed to find out the depth of our "torture" methods and discover we really didn't torture detainess at all. We should be. I was also pissed at the stupid media getting on its high horse and printing those pictures like the media had a real conscience. If the stupid semitic media had a conscience, it wouldn't have printed them at all. All it did was a lot of bad plus it emboldened our prisoners. I am sick of these god(*)(*)(*)(*) people thinking they know or understand people more than our men serving in forward areas under fire. All they've done is undermined this war and only posted the most outrageously great news. Every little shred of bad news that could be digged up even without consequence was/is printed because they're souless scum and really have NO understanding or heart in our troops. I tell ya, if I met a journalist who wanted to debate me about the war, I'd spit in his god(*)(*)(*)(*) face, the sick perverted bastard.

Sorry, but what those prisoners received was NOT torture. Abuse? Yes. Torture? No. Did the soldiers deserve what they got? Probably. Did the media overplay it, like we were sticking heads on sticks? Certainly. |
