Regardless of the never-ending hand wringing about the imperial presidency Congress handed Hussein, and all future presidents, more power:

The House Tuesday passed a measure 261-114 to remove 200 presidential appointments from the Senate’s purview for confirmation hearings and votes.
S. 679 is a Democrat bill that:

. . . originated in the Senate last year where it passed 79-20, and reduces the number of confirmations from 1,200 to 1,000.
That means a whole lot of Republicans voted for it. One Republican in the House got it Right:

Rep. Tom Graves (R-Ga.) said he voted against the measure because it was the constitutional duty of the other body to offer its advice and consent on those positions and that the president already controls 2,700 political appointees without congressional overview.

Presidents leave office in four or eight years, but once the political hacks he appoints get their snouts in the public trough they are there forever; if not in the original job then somewhere else. In effect, S. 679 gives the president control over 200 more jobs on top of the 2,700 jobs he already controls. The worst of it is the type of parasite filling those jobs. They are not civil servants by any stretch of the imagination.

Nothing grows the parasite class more than paying off political hacks with government jobs. Note that it has been happening in state and local governments for generations causing the parasite class to grow so large the entire system has turned into a self-perpetuating perverse form of nepotism; i.e., public trough parasites do not teach their children how to make a contribution to a free society; parasites teach their children how to be parasites.

The parasite class is the only class of criminals who see nothing wrong in what they are. Even the worst organized crime figures try to teach their children to be legit. Unfortunately, osmosis often sets in. Think how much worse it would be if crime figures taught their children to be criminals the way parasites teach their children to be parasites!

Note that Hussein was a parasite all of his adult life; hence, justifying the parasite class was the reason for his comment: “You didn’t build that.” Because of Hussein’s success as a parasite, forcing others to support the parasite class is now an honorable career choice.

Finally, if you run into Mitt Romney on the campaign trail ask him if he would sign S. 679?
