This one really pissed people off, lol.
"I believe Democracy is our greatest asset...at least until China figures out a way to stamp it out of plastic for 3 cents a unit.... In fact, ambassador Zhou Wenzhong...your great country makes our happy meals possible...." Now that was just outright hillarious. That one must have hurt, because it was so truthfully contradictory (Democracy and dealing with China, lol) and outright offensive to China. He didn't care if he offended the Chinese or Bush, and he knew it was going to (*)(*)(*)(*) them off...so he says... "I said it to celebration." This guy is a genius. He wasn't playing to the media or to the people there. He was targeting a massive audience on YouTube and the Internet. hahaha. |

I like the fact that Colbert gave kudos to Helen Thomas in a satire sort of way. That little old lady always asks tough questions, that is of course, if she gets the opportunity to do so.

This website has a "thank you" list running for Colbert's stunt.
It's at 54,000 signatures so far. This video is becoming wayyyyyyy bigger then the media played it out to be originally. Compare that with Bush's act at number 6 on google. And remember--google didn't even get this video until YouTube broke a record 500,000 downloads. Incredible. |

It's been number one on google for at least three days straight last time I checked. Compare that with Bush's act at number 6 on google. I wonder if the late night shows/comedians have contributed to the sinking Bush polls?
I just heard Bush approval polls are now at 29%. Didn't Nixon hit 27%?
