The only thing I can conclude is she thinks gay marriage is a states rights issue, and uses gay marriage to bash liberals (their actions not beliefs ie. their radical attempts to make it legal or ignore law. http://www.vdare.com/malkin/newsom.htm) She might very well be a Goldwater conservative on this issue, which would earn her points in my book. Because I am biased against her, as I already admitted, I will guess that she would not link a gay republican to her site so as not to offend the gay hating wing of her followers. Just my guess. I hope I am wrong. My overall opinon of her, after reading about 20 in the past hour, is that she is still little more than a red meat throwing partisan who doesnt argue for conservatism, just against liberals. She plays to the base, and does a lot of "Water carrying". Ixtellor |

Well, she opposes gay marriage, discussion of gay historical figures or gay families in schools, and seems to take particular delight in making detailed posts of the most lurid and extreme examples of gay behavior she can find.
I think her view on homosexuality is a common one: I don't want to hear about it.

This is generally what makes me so (*)(*)(*)(*) opposed to conservatism. I see eye to eye with them on economic issues most of the time. I agree with them on some social issues. I don't like their assaults on personal and civil liberties, but at least understand their concerns and appreciate their morality. I can even occasionally see their point on foreign policy...
But there's something really odd about defining freedom and EDUCATION on the basis of keeping things away. Freedom, rather than the ability to speak your mind, is the ability to keep others from speaking their mind AROUND MY CHILDREN. Education is best if it hides information that I DON'T WANT MY CHILDREN TO KNOW. No talk of gay historical figures or gay families- things that EXIST... but we need talk of Intelligent Design as a scientific concept, something IT IS NOT?! No talk of anything the country ever may have done wrong... or even the idea of how some might see it that way. Any talk of a side that the mode doesn't get, just the fact that the topic is brought up... is a sgin of a liberal bias... But when we decide we need to verbally assault a minority group in the crudest and most ignorant terms possible, when we must try to push a theological concept into the definition of science... That's just to BALANCE THINGS!!! AAAAAARRGGH!!!! Conservatives give me a migraine! How am I supposed to tell off the little socialists and social engineers that infest my own ideological group when I'm faced with this psychopathic backwardness from the other side of the spectrum?!

Malkin is on record as saying no person born in American to foreign parents should receive citizenship, yet her parents were living in Philadelphia on a work visa when she was born.
If she had her way, she'd be stripped of her citizenship and deported back to the Philippines.

Therefore I dont have a problem with limiting discussion of homosexuality in schools. The parents may very well be biased against homos, and teach their children to hate them. So what? The children will be 18 eventually. It isnt my place to dictate what values parents are allowe dto teach their children. Quote:
School vouchers would solve this problem. Dont want your kid to learn about homos? Switch schools. Do you want your kids to learn about homos? Switch schools. I really dont see why it is necessary to go over it in public schools. I dont believe their education will suffer significantly if they are not taught about homo history in school. Quote:

After reading about that, I came to the conclusion that she thoroughly deserved the bit of mockery from Bill O'Reilly that once made me so angry. Besides, if she is so very patriotic, she ought to realize that Alan Turing, a gay man who was driven to suicide by mandatory "treatments" for his homosexuality, played a key role in defeating Nazi Germany by breaking codes. If it weren't for him, we might be goose-stepping today. Fine "gratitude" the British government showed him, I might add!

I did my own search on her site. The only gay references I am finding are criticizing Democrats for being gay bashers. Here is an example:
http://michellemalkin.com/archives/002062.htm Her criticisms of gays seem to be against radical gays specifically. And in that we are actually in agreement. The only thing we really disagree on at all, from what I can see, is gay marriage. And even then we are still in agreement on judicial activism. |
