Default Russert found NOT GUILTY

Tim Russert found not-quilty of having perfect memory and jury accepts his excuse of being too busy to remember everything. But, then Russert's a Democrat.

Scooter Libby, however, found NOT too busy to have perfect memory. Libby is a Rep.

This kinda fits in with demonization of Ann Coulter for using the f-word, but a free-pass from the media on Maher's publically wishing the Vice President dead.

"Mr. Russert could not remember the exact details of his telephone exchange with Mr. Libby, like the time of day. A defense lawyer read an F.B.I. report where Mr. Russert said that he could not rule out discussing Ms. Wilson with Mr. Libby, but had no recollection of it. Mr. Russert said he did not believe he said that.

Andrea Mitchell of NBC said on Oct. 2003 that the identity of Ms. Wilson was "widely known among those of us who cover the intelligence community." She later said that she had been wrong to say that. The defense suggested that if Ms. Mitchell had long known of Ms. Wilson, then Mr. Russert, then her boss, must have long known it too."

http://www.nytimes.com/ref/washington/LIBBYDIARY.html

So early on----Russert was not so sure and said so to an FBI agent while being questioned----but he BECAME SURE later on.

In NO WAY should there have been a conviction here on ANY count And I've lost a lot of respect for Tim Russert and his motives here.

I wonder if Bush still thinks his "new tone" has worked out well. When he chose to keep all the Clinton appointees in the State Dept and CIA, he brought all this on. Democrats are like rattlesnakes..........they look at being treated with kindness to be a weakness to exploit.

One of the jury members is talking now. A real clueless guy who definitely WANTED to find Libby guilty.

This juror actually said there was a lot of sympathy for Libby and they (the jury) often said "Where's Rove??" "What are we doing with this guy???" The jury believed Libby was the "fall guy." WOW. I hope this guy keeps talking-----because there WILL be a new trial granted when a judge sees how partisan this guy is and how partisan this jury was.

Un-freakin-believable.

Exactly. It's been one of my biggest complaints about Bush. He's tried too hard to please Democrats. He should have never named this Special Prosecutor.

This juror---Dennis Collins----is a real piece of work. He used to work for the Washington Post. LIBERAL. You (*)(*)(*)(*)ed right he is.

So, let's see now. Dennis Collins says they, the jury, believed Libby was "the fall guy" but found him guilty anyway. Hmmmmmmm......

And "obstruction of justice" means one is trying to hide something. There's absolutely no proof the administration was hiding anything. There was nothing to hide as no law had been broken. Fitzgerald also said he does not plan on any other indictments and the investigation had stopped long before this case and he had no plans to investigate anyone else. So----obviously he sees no administration culprit either.

Default sheesh

Did you hear him just now say "everybody had a bad memory"?

I think they were looking for an excuse to convict. It seems obvious to me that there was reasonable doubt.
