Your examples assume that people will let the media "spin" override their own experience. That's kind of silly.

It's why most people believe we cannot be successful in Iraq;

Yeah, it would have nothing to do with the four years of failure and mismanagement, despite 3,000 America casualties, countless Iraqi ones and hundreds of billions of dollars. It would have nothing to do with the burgeoning sectarian war between a Shiite government (which, by the way, is developing a pretty good relationship with Iran) and Sunni separatists. Yeah, it's just media spin.

Why many people the economy is bad;

Many people think the economy is bad because job growth hasn't kept up with the growth in the labor force, and for most people income has barely kept up with inflation, if that. Macroeconomic figures don't mean nearly as much as personal circumstances.

Why many people believed the Republican had a "culture of corruption" last fall.
|
They did. It wasn't solely Republican, of course, but as the majority party they were engaged in some pretty indefensible activities. I happen to think it's a function of majority status, not party affiliation. The GOP came to power in 1994 because the Dems had grown fat and corrupt after years in power. By last year the roles had reversed. I have every faith that the Democrats will, in time, grow fat and corrupt again and be swept out by a rejuvenated GOP.

The liberal media is the very important assistant to Democrats and their political power.

And yet the media have been pretty critical of the Dems now that they are in power. Maybe it's the media fulfilling its job to scrutinize those in power, rather than a particular party affiliation?

And it's the VERY reason the likes of Hillary and others would LOVE to put Rush Limbaugh and other very strong opposing views off the air.

Whatever. When I talk about the media, I don't mean people like Rush. And Hillary isn't the media, either. Never mind that many on the left think the mainstream media is too corporate and conservative and lapdoggish, so they would hardly prefer an environment where only the MSM existed.
