You may not have noticed but you will after this(yahoo news brief box if nothing else) That being the AP and those that use it are having a field day of 'news articles' about how many US soldiers have died in Iraq..they are currently tooting 3,940.

This has been going on now for well a while but it has gotten to be daily as they get all excited about being able to say 4,000. It has happenned in the past...


Here is the last 6 days(inc this one)....evey day they have had an article on it.

In the APs defense what it look like is that their source of counting is being posted and news services are using it daily. But the AP is the source an purveyor.







My point is this is an exmpale of how excited the media gets when its counting dead US sodlers..when they get 4,000 its going to be a sick display of banner headlines.


They have all this space and time to spend counting deaths but little to no time to waste on what the soldiers they're counting are doing when ALIVE.

One part of me think this is cruel but the other think that they are at least paying attention to the war.

At least they are not using 20 hrs /day covering ONE dead marine girl in the US. At least they are giving notice to the people who are risking their life everyday to pretect America.

Turn on the news, I bet you there is no news about the war. people we are AT WAR!! does any care???
