It helps having over a decade of experience. The rest of the people here are just "laymen". Much like we are in their industries. *shrugs*

But yeah, I see a lot of outright falsities in this thread.

Alrion can you provide links to these "talks" or is this just more BS rumors trying to instigate government control where none is needed. Another manufactured emergency like health care and swine flu.

Just think for a second. Why would they want to get rid of Net Neutrality?
To make a buck by selling preference to companies who pay the biggest amount. All at the expense of the little guy and mom and pop INTERNET services.

*sigh* Really? Try post #72. I can't understand why that post is so hard for you to read. And jackdong was a typo, much like I suspect Robin was.

Republicans are at the beck and call of big corporations. Big corporations want their websites to be faster than small business websites so they get an advantage.

Therefore, Republicans are against net nuetrality.

I'm starting to think this is the case. There's no reason, as a consumer to be AGAINST Net Neutrality unless you are woefully un/misinformed about the issue.

The right wing is a master at misinformation and lies in their propaganda. They are on the wrong side of the issues so they HAVE to use lies to get their way. If the people stopped believing the GOP lies, they'd have nothing.

And that's what the Republicans are doing. Misinforming the people.

Maybe we can help them understand what net nuetrality really means. Sadly most righties on this board seem to have a very closed mind when it comes to learning about something they are not hearing on FOX or from Limbaugh.

I've posted links and offered to answer any and all questions (I work in the tech field) but still the cons in this thread are scarily in the dark about the issue.

Where exactly are those links where the internet providers are denying service to people you posted Robin

I just went through and reviewed all your posts Robin and I counted 2 links. One where a town in Minn instaled a 50MPS line to compete with a commercial ISP and one where COX has announced a tiered pricing plan sop that people could have a choice on how much they wanted to pay and how much service they wanted. Feel free to post anything I might have missed in case I missed something where ISP's are censoring websites like you claim.
