After two and half years waiting to be "sick enough" to be considered for a transplant; I am now sick enough to be considered for one, and what do I do? I wait for a match to come along in a liver. Considering that "0+" is the most common blood type, we shall see. The automobile carnage over the holiday season may be my best bet. Now all I have to do is stay alive until then.
I do wish both our countries required people to allow the use of suitable organs for transplantation, once their loved ones have died. The gift of life is the greatest gift one can give.
