Actually the Arab League did recognize it because travel to and from the Arab states was permitted.

I am someone that stuck his nose years after years in maps as this was imperative that I do.

a) During the Ottoman Empire [400 years] from 1517 -1917 the maps of this area, the official maps showed 'Ottoman Empire' and nothing else...

b) Every student of history knew then, that the word 'Palestine' indicated an AREA and not a STATE as no independent state was in situ during the 400 years of the 'Ottoman Empire'!!!

I did look at the maps, now it is your turn to scrutinize one between 1517 - 1917...

You can read accounts by Americans who visited Jordan within the decade that followed.

First Jordan is not a small country compared to Israel, for in reality it is 77% of the 'Mandate for Palestine' while Israel is 23% of this same Mandate...

No one drove anyone to anyplace exactly as 8 Millions Muslims from India drifted north and created a strictly Muslim state now called Pakistan on 14th August 1947, while 8 Million Hindus left the northern area and returned to India proper.

If you would have stated that this was an exchange of population this would have been the first time that I would have agreed with you.

Alas a lot of peoples in this world shy away from studying history and rather rely on hear say and innuendoes... There were quite a few population exchanges in history... between Greece and Turkey, Poland and Germany etc.,
