Default Israel causes worst eco-disaster since Exxon Valdez

http://www.planetark.com/dailynewsst...7418/story.htm

Quote:
BEIRUT - Along Lebanon's sandy beaches and rocky headlands runs a belt of black sludge, 10,000 to 30,000 tonnes of oil that spilled into the Mediterranean Sea after Israel bombed a power plant.

Looks like Israel is looking to the US for tips on how to destroy our environment.

Default I think

the lesson is ... DON'T F WITH ISRAEL and this would never happen. See how easy that is. I am sorry for the enviornment and for the now black beaches of Beirut. Not for destroying the oil reserves, but for the animals. So stop pulling these stunts. Thanks !!

The worst since Valdez?
..not even close.

What about Saddam Hussein intentional dumping of oil into the Persian Gulf during the 1991 War?

You know the 1,000,000 or so tons of it ..not to mention the oil field fires...

Oh thats right 1990-2003 is all a blank.[/quote]

Your right. That was a gross exageration. It is not as bad as the 9.4^4-2.3^5 metric tonnes that was released then, but 1^4-3^4 is still enough to draw major concern over the environmental consequences. If you don't care about the lebanese at least have concern for the birds and turtles, for the love of god, the turtles!

Foxes go "yip yip" and birds of the air go "tweet tweet", but turtles make no sound. Whoever has ears, let him hear.

Actually, turtles make hissing and grunting sounds.

Note physiology of turtle - and then, I have another suggestion for you (click on the image to view the animation):
