Thread: Who has the right to israel? v2

  1. Default Who has the right to israel? v2

The Roman Empire invaded and occupied the ancient Israelites.
Roman records and histories and documents show no Palestinians, only Jews.
And the Jews kept rebelling against Roman rule and trying to drive them out.

After suppressing the Bar Kochba Revolt, the Romans divided it up and renamed part of it called Judah as Syria-Palaestina (where the modern word 'Palestine' actually derives from) and changed the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina.

Arabs know all this full well.
113 years ago in 1899, Yusuf Diya al-Khalidi, the Arab mayor of Jerusalem wrote this:

"Who can challenge the rights of the Jews in Palestine? Good Lord, historically it is really your country."

635 years ago in 1377, Arab scholar and historian Ibn Khaldun wrote this:

"Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel extended over 1400 years. It was the Jews who implanted the culture and customs of the permanent settlement".

So no, the Jews did not steal what's been theirs for thousands of years.
They're trying to hold onto what's theirs from those who would take it from them.
And I suggest you get yourself properly educated in the subject instead of believing the nonsensical claims made by the ignorant and/or racist ppl.

Guy. The prob is that ppl don't believe that the jewish ppl who run Israel today are the true descendants, ie they are not blood related, that's the crux. It is said that they are european converts. Since anybody can convert who is to know the intnention of said convert. I mean fam is fam, they die 4 eachother but an adoptee?? well, it can sway either way, that's the prob.

Most of the Jews at that time either converted to Christianity or Islam, or stayed Jewish and lived on that land along side the Muslims and Christians.

The Zionists, it's founder and who some consider the founder of modern day "Israel", was a Hungarian Jew. Both Khazar and Ashkenazi Jews are converts. So how does a convert, who spoke Yiddish more than Hebrew, have religious rights to this land?

The Jews living Palestine before Zionism entered the region lived happy lives with their Muslim and Christian neighbors. Why when the Zionists came, this changed?

The DNA analysis of the Israeli population completely refutes your [already irrelevant] point. The overwhelming number of Israelis have the Y-chromosome proving their Middle-Eastern origin.

It's equally absurd to believe or claim that the Arab/Muslim world would welcome and embrace Israel if they somehow started to believe that they are "the true descendents". Nothing can be more naive and further from the truth.
Jerusalem appears in the Jewish Bible 669 times...The Christian Bible mentions Jerusalem 154 times. In contrast, Jerusalem appears as frequently in the Qur'an as it does in the Hindu Bhagavad-Gita—which is to say, not once.

So your argument is that because Roman records don't contain anachronisms, Jews have a right to Israel? Roman records don't talk of a people that didn't exist as they now exist, because they would need a time machine to do so. However, the idea that there is no record of non-Jewish people in what is now Palestine is extraordinarily stupid.

But here is where things get really silly. It is actually modern Palestinians who are the descendants of ancient Jews, not European Jews who were to a very large extent converts. And Palestinians are descendants of ancient Jews, but are themselves also converts, but this time to Islam.

Having said all that, what does any of it mean? Does it mean that the Arabs of Palestine have a "right" to that land? I don't know. What I do know, is that we should respect the basic dignity of people. That we should not hinder a persons ability to live their lives, to provide for themselves and their family, to live in their homes, etc. Those are all things the Israelis do and more. They demolish Palestinian villages, on land inside the occupied territory. They allow their settlers to take from the native Palestinian population what it will. They allow their soldiers to infringe on safety and freedom of Palestinians. They set up road blocks, imprison children, kill people, and terrorize the Palestinian people. I do not object to any claim Israelis have to land based on whatever legitimate or faulty premise. What I object to is the fact that after Israelis claimed the land, they committed terrible crimes against the Palestinian people and continue to do so. If Jews want to live in Palestine, most reasonable people are fine with that, as long as they live in peace with their neighbors and respect their basic dignity and freedoms. At the moment, the Israelis don't, and until they do I really don't care about some genetic test which says one group has lived in the region longer(as if that establishes an objective right to control an entire region), because it doesn't really matter.
Im a Tarte, what! you want some of this!

The essence of any utopianism is: Conjure an ideal that makes an impossible demand on reality, then announce that, until the demand is met in full, your ideal can't be fairly evaluated. Attribute any incidental successes to the halfway meeting of the demand, any failure to the halfway still to go.

I emphatically disagree with the actual relevance and context sensitivity of your first point but could agree somewhat with your second. Two good points none the less.

Personally I don't see it this way, the claims that Israelis are not real jews/decedents are far from the primary or mainstream arguments against Israel's existence, they are very rarely brought up even by the Arabs. Nevertheless the Y-chromosome thing is real and it's a conclusive proof that the Israeli jews are genetically Middle-Easterners, not Europeans.

The website is slow indeed. I blame the Zionists

This is complete crap and totally transparent Zionist propaganda, selective and cynical.

Here's a little quote for you-from the father of modern 'Israel': 'Why should Arabs make peace? If I were an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. This is natural; we have taken their country'

    David Ben Gurion

You, my friend, are the one with a lack of education.

A good place to start is at the beginning - BEFORE The Romans - BEFORE the so-called "israelites " Start with the non-Jews/ - The Canaanites , did they evaporate or did the barbaric runway slaves calling themselves Hebrews - exterminate them ?

Go learn , the "Jews " were'nt then known as Joos, were they . ?

Perhaps you should follow your own advice and "get properly educated"
