Sure, we could have chosen to ignore Saddam's participation in international terrorism, his defiance of the rules to which he agreed that kept him in power after the 1st Gulf War, his constant belligerence towards weapons inspectors, his refusal to comply with UN Resolutions........

Instead we made the right choice.

Oh, so we should care about UN resolutions...

Anyways, so he talked to a few terrorist organizations and so forth. He didn't attack us. He didn't show intent to attack us.

Saddam was a terrorist. He was a legitimate target.

So youre an analyst are you?

There are UN resolutions that instruct Israel to vacate the occupied territories and recognise Palestinian sovereinghty and human rights. And Israel does not allow Inspectors to enter its country - AND ISRAEL HAS WMD's and nuclear weapons!

So by your reasoning the US should dump its entire military Arsenal onto Israel and capture its leader and execute him. And it would be the fault of the Israeli governement.

If you dont apply the same principles to both cases then WE ALL KNOW what that would make you as a person DONT WE BILLY BOB!

Just because Saddam was a total prick doesn't give the US the right to march in and set things straight. He was not a direct threat to the US. That point has not been refuted, so I must assume I am correct in saying this.
We operate in non-intersecting planes of foreign policy. No matter what I say, I cannot convince you because you fundamentally disagree.

So being the ringleader and mob boss absolves you of responsibility? That is sick.

Letting him off easy would have been evil. All that is required for evil is that good people do nothing.
