Orthodox Jews are a rather strange lot. They are fanatic believers in their interpretation of the Torah, which are the first 5 books of the Old Testament. They strongly believe that the New Testament is heresy. Many Orthodox Jews also do not believe in Israel's right to exist, based on their interpretation of scripture. One such organization is Neturei Karta.

However most Orthodox Jews do not go around burning books. The group that did this is only a very small minority in Israel.
