I’ve always been suspicious of American military presence in Afghanistan. They did no good there actually. The acute problem of drug trafficking from Afghanistan hasn’t been solved yet. I even came across some info the production of illicit drugs destined for Europe consumption has increased there. Perhaps Americans have their share of profit too just like Britons did long ago in India.
There is one good piece of news from Afghanistan. The local fighters are ready to stop fighting…. in Afghanistan and to continue it in former soviet republics in Asia. I know that Soros donated for Georgian ‘Revolution of Roses’ $42 mln during three months’ period. So rich America can pay great sums to ‘spontaneous’ rebels to topple the ‘rotten’ regimes in Central Asia. People say that most fighters who laid down their arms were actually ethnic Uzbeks and Tajiks. So guess to where exactly the revolution pandemic is going to spread soon.
