God isn't the moon and my muslim friend believes we have landed on the moon.
My muslim friend Takil Abu-Salamra (That's all his first name) from Israel has considered the moon and all celestial objects as not a part of god, yet rather a collection of objects much like the Earth that were created by god. Takil believes that his fellow muslims believe the moon is sacred as well as the rest of the Universe, because people from the universe came to Earth as the representatives of god. They called them angels and we of current times call them extraterrestrials. Takil believes that Neil Armstrong (if that was the true first man that walked on the moon) had encountered or spotted extraterrestrials on the moon and therefore the event was altered by Nasa and Hollywood to present an extremely realistic version staged to fool the citizens of the United States and the Soviet Union. Even till this day people are still fooled by its realistic appeal. But people very much more acknowledged of the universe (though called insane, irrelevant, or not justifiable to the degree to speak for themselves) are not fooled by the fake video that was made. The whole video was made to keep the existence of Extraterrestrials to be a secret as it was a part of mainstream ideology from the War of the Worlds radio event that mankind cannot handel the existence of extraterrestrials even if they were peaceful.
The government truly fears the people, because they cannot maintain peace in a society that is disorderly due to the panic of extraterrestrial existence. There was also the fear that people may abandon their faith, because people so highly stress god and his angels as spiritual beings. To think of god as a phyisical being has been for a long time heretical. The government though powerful might fear persecution from its own people. There are many more factors that upsetted the government and keep them from revealing the truth or disclosing any evidence of proof to the people.
However, this is just my friend's beliefs and do hold many accounts of possibility. And the event where Muhammad encountered Gabriel does sound more like an extraterrestrial encounter than a sudden embracement from god as we humans see it as. Who is to say that an extraterrestrial encounter isn't a sudden embracement of god in the true text?
