NASA already knew what the area looked like so it shouldn't surprise any thinking person that the Japanese pictures would match. They were already available; who knows what happens behind the scenes. It's a matter of psychology, I suspect. They like feeling smarter than all of us fat & stupid Wal Mart shopping couch potatoes who accept whatever is beamed at us through the telly. They, by watching certain YouTubes that NASA doesn't want you (or them) to see and reading similar websites and forum posts, are suddenly able to set themselves apart, realising a great truf that we TV-addicted fools simply will not or cannot grasp!

Most of them have fallen for the fallacy that the existence of corrupt liars in government equals government lies about everything. They're from populations that have given up on civic solutions(unless you're counting the Tea Party) and are deficient in problem solving skills. Notice how few of them actively show interest in learning the science and/or making inquires to NASA or other agencies? It's a dysfunctional support group for people who have no faith in themselves or citizen government.

That's not counting the smaller faction who know it's a scam and are making money off it.
