Thread: On the day of Curiosity

  1. Default On the day of Curiosity

Hi. My name is Dimitri, I'm from Samara, Russia. Thought that the day when the Curiosity rover took us to Mars might be a good day for my curiosity to bring me here. Especially considering that Atlas V rocket are equipped with Russian RD-180 engines . I am really curious about how people live in other countries and what makes us different.

Politically mostly indifferent but with natural disgust to oppression. Actually, political systems are mostly irrelevant, in my opinion. Political issues, though, are not.

I like history and until some time ago I ran a blog on Russian history (De Rebus Antiquis et Novis). Would be glad if I can answer your question

My English may sometimes look awkward, so, please, bear with me...

Welcome, Dmitri. Your English looks fine to me. The Curiosity thing was a great technical achievement, which shows there is still great promise in America, despite the Right.

... or the left. Perhaps better to say, in spite of our current politics.

What left? You haven't had a left since McCarthy put a stop to democracy, surely?
