Over three tons of radioactive and toxic materials...
Over three tons of radioactive and toxic materials originated in Georgia were located in Czech Republic.
In Hradec Kralove (Czech Republic) - in a small town not far from Karlovy Vary, only 15 km away from the border with Germany, Czech police reported to have discovered a chemical depot with about 1,000 types of high-toxic chemicals (calomel, cyanides, chlorine compounds, mercuric cyanide, red mercuric oxide, etc.) and radiation-emitting materials (cesium, radium, etc.) were stored there, with total weight of about 3,200 kilos.
Details are kept in secret in interests of investigation, but press officer of Czech police reported that three individuals (their names are not disclosed either) were arrested at the depot as well. As the inquiry progressed, the detained people confessed that they originated from Chechnya and conveyed the materials from the territory of Georgia (North Caucasus) for reselling to activists of some terrorist organizations in Europe. Presumably, several dozens attacks involving "dirty bombs" made of the located toxic and radioactive materials were planned to be carried out in Europe - in the first instance, Germany, Czech republic (in nearby Karlovy Vary resort), Denmark, France, England, and oversea - in the US.
According to the detained persons, the toxic and radioactive materials were meant for al-Qaeda. Again, according to the arrested Chechens, they were able to buy up radioactive and toxic materials from Georgians at the abandoned Georgian experimental site. It's curious that Georgian authorities (as well as president Saakashvili and defense minister Okruashvili) were well aware that the materials kept at the site could be used for creation of a dirty bomb or be sold to terrorists, but they took no steps to prevent it and the site is not even guarded. In this connection Czech officials have a hunch that Saakashvili and his entourage have a finger in the deal and get their share from the sale of toxic and radioactive materials to international terrorists while Chechens were merely serving as a go-between.
Isn't this weird? Saakashvili is known to be a hot-blooded and whip-cracker politician, but can he be engaged into international terrorism? Well, why not, really?
