Default Forced Disarmament

Maybe a forced disarmament, followed by a self-disarmament would effectively dissuade other nations from their want of nuclear technology.

Default Wow! What a long post.

Nuclear weapons are not the only reason why a country would want nuclear capabilities. Nuclear energy is pretty cool too.

Default .

Another reason to promote alternate fuel sources, other than nuclear and oil. Could we live in a world where there is no threat of nuclear war, and no threat of a fossil-fuel shortage? Would this not solve two problems at the same time?

Default No.

At the moment, alternative fuels are not efficient enough, cost too much to build, can damage the local enviroment (hydroelectric) and do not produce enough energy.

Default Why disarm

We should never disarm, i mean you can't trust anyone to disarm. The country could just hide the weapons underground and we would never know about them, not a very wise move in my opinion.

thanks
