"Dancing Queen" by ABBA and "Let's Groove Tonight" by Earth, Wind and Fire.

By the mid-19th century unique had developed a wider meaning, “not typical, unusual,” and it is in this wider sense that it is compared. The comparison of so-called absolutes in senses that are not absolute is standard in all varieties of speech and writing.

I like the tune of "Africa", but I'm also a lyrics guy, and that song makes no bloody sense.

Ditto for anything by REM.

My secret songs are weird '80s tunes:

"Leather & Lace" by Sheena Easton
"Salt in My Tears" by Martin Briley
"Don't Pay the Ferryman" by Chris De Burgh

And dozens more. My wife doesn't let me pick the CDs for road trips anymore....

I like "Africa" as well. Should I be embarrassed about that?

I know; I was responding to your post.

Should you be embarassed? That's up to you, I guess. Embarassment isn't something we should seek out. If you like the tune, then like it: no apologies. If you think it'll hurt your chances of getting a date -- well then, like it in private.

It's strange. My dad really loves Abba and he's a biker guy that's mostly into bands like Deep Purple and AC/DC with a little country. It is so strange seeing the Abba CD in his collection.

I'm the Hilary Duff fan. Stekim will still charge me with the highest noise pollution fee.
