Default It's Snowing in Oregon

Not a flake of snow fell last winter where I live, but as I write this we're getting a good dusting. It has been so long since I've seen snow that I'm glad. Of course, if I lived in a climate with constant snowfall, I probably wouldn't like it so much.

Default Portland

I cant believe that you dont like Portland, Force? Grotty, surely, but isnt there something endearing even in that? And Seattle...the bay, the lakes, Capitol Hill...it was all beautiful (except the Hill) many years ago, when I last visited...

I curse snow every time it lands. Every flake. I hate the stuff. I would maybe be okay with it if it would follow a few rules like: don't get on my car, don't accumulate so deep that my car can't push through, don't melt and then freeze into a sheet of ice... But I know it will never follow those rules.
I probably wouldn't mind snow if it was warm

Unfortunately, what little snow stuck to the ground has already melted. That's typical out here.

You didn't like Capitol Hill? That was the most interesting part!

I loved it, lived there, but no, I could never have described it as 'beautiful'.

I'd just like to know why the Capitol Hill area of Seattle doesn't qualify as 'beautiful.'

I haven't been outside Oregon since I was three months old. I was born in Texas, though, so that makes at least three on the site.

It has been many years since I lived there but to be honest its was just plain dirty. Dirt and filth on city streets just does not call to my mind relections on 'beauty'. It had its own, other, charms (Harvard Exit etc)...but cleanliness was not among them.
