I know that if you go to white trash regions, they tend to be quite conservative, and yet you will find young girls dressing like this all over the place. I live in a rich, yet affluent area, which is very liberal, and you will never see kids dressing like that. I could of course dishonestly try to claim that has to do with ideology, but it doesn't. It simply has to do with stupidity. You should be ashamed of yourself, spreading idiotic lies. Partisan hackery of this nature really makes me sick.

At any rate, Stupid? Yes, I agree with you there. But if you knew anything about the progressive movement and their attitudes toward kids today, you would positively rethink your attitude toward me.

Trends like what's being discussed in this thread, has everything to do with political ideology. In this case, progressivism is described as the culprit.

Angry is not the right word, annoyed is more accurate. I just get so sick of the stupid partisan hackery. I know that Glen Beck is constantly going on about this nonsense, but as a person who has studied this period of American history myself, I can tell you very little of what Glen Beck says is entirely honest. Some stuff is flat out lies. But mostly it is just distortions of the truth and partisan spinning. Don't take Glen Beck too seriously, it is bad for you. Beck is simply another in a long line of people who seek to divide this country where little real division exists. It is just a way of controlling people by taking their eye off the ball, and focusing it one something far less important. In Beck's case it is the "progressives" I assure you, it is all an act.

I'm sorry that you're annoyed. Beck is just pointing out the obvious. You don't have to agree with it, but it is what it is. You know, 20-30 yrs ago, there were such things as common decency amongst most folks running around out there, and if your age is an accurate reflection of what's on your profile, perhaps you don't see it. Becks message is sound on this issue.

If you look back through history (and you don't even have to go that far back) where the movements, movies, schools, politics and anything that has a direct impact on society today, you can see the stark differences staring you right in the face. Much like the kid in the OP that dresses like a 30 yr old woman compared to a kid, say, 30 yrs ago of the same age who's parents would have never let that happen. Or at least, it wasn't "common place" for things like this to happen.

I can also make a comparison to the violence in schools as well. 30 yrs ago -fist fights. Today - AK47 shoot outs and body scanning machines. Unheard of since our country's inception up until the 1960's. That's 184 yrs. But in a short 50 yrs, we have virtually become an immoral society where everyone is out for themselves. There's a reason for this Frodly, and that reason is called - Liberal progressivism.

Children today are propped up by their liberal parents as some kind of symbolic idol of worship. I say that is backwards mentality of parenting today. Children should worship their parents, not the other way around. And because of this reversal in society's attitude because of liberal progressivism, you have what you have today. Some of what I mentioned above.

By the way, I don't need Glen Beck to tell me how to parent or guide me on how society today is not reflective of what it was 30 yrs ago, due to progressivism. I'm a parent, and I've seen the shift in attitudes myself. I'm living through it right now.

Again, a child should never be propped up and made into something they are not. Much like the picture in the OP. They are children, and they need to be taught right from wrong, not idolized.

That's what gets me about liberal progressives. I point out events and issues that I've lived through, and because of the source, I'm attacked. But that's not the major issue. The major issue is the "denial", much like you're doing here, that anything like this cannot be tied to either politics in general, or simply progressivism of society driven by the liberal progressives.

- This kid in the OP 30 yrs ago - not accepted vs. this kid now - accepted = liberal progressivism
- Violence in schools 30 yrs ago with random fights vs violence in schools today with AK's and armor piercing bullets = liberal progressivism
- Gays running around the streets with strap ons 30 yrs ago - unheard of vs. Gays running around the streets with strap ons today - Very common = liberal progressivism
- Parents being parents to their children 30 yrs ago - common place vs. parents being parents to their children today - the kids are right and the parents are now wrong = liberal progressivism
- Kids striving to get ahead in life through hard work taught by their parents 30 yrs ago - common place vs kids striving to get ahead in life through hard work taught by their parents - unheard of = liberal progressivism.

Everything, all of it, is liberal progressivism 101. You may not want to admit it, or, you may simply throw your hands up and ignore it, but the truth is staring you right in the face.
