Default Force, have you ever heard of Keane?

I think that you would like their music as you could relate to the lyrics. Tim Rice-Oxley (the lyricist) seems to have similar personality traits as you.

I had heard the name of the band but nothing more. I'll take a listen to their music, though. Thanks.

Default Thank You Very Much, Doctiloquus

I liked both the lyrics and the melody of "Is It Any Wonder?"- and you're right- I most certainly can identify with those lyrics.

Default No problem.

Here are the lyrics to the songs from their two albums, and here is the video for their latest song.

My Dad is a fan, and has their songs playing regularly in the car and I ended up becoming a bit of a fan after listening to Hopes and Fears every time I got in the car. The same thing happened with Coldplay.

Anyways, I was watching the video for Crystal Ball on TV, and it occurred to me that you might like Keane. Enjoy.

Edit: 'Is it any Wonder?' is one of my favourite Keane songs, along with 'Somewhere only we know' and 'Crystal Ball'.

Thanks. That was an excellent music video. Musically, Rice-Oxley seems like a combination of Bono and Morrissey (which is definitely a compliment).

Default Disco Bee

This evening I'm listening to 5 different versions of "This Is My Club" by Disco Bee (all edits about a minute long). I'm also listening to a minute and a half of "Bailando" at this interesting Austrian music site:

Default Enya

"Only Time" by Enya. It is very peaceful, of course, and its lyrics are very meaningful and inspiring to me at this stage in my life.

Default Kind of Blue

a masterpiece from Miles Davis
amazed that something recorded in 1959 is still so listenable - truly a classic

I couldn't agree more. I love those kinds of bands. Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, and above all... well I think you can figure out my all time favorite on your own.
But what's weird about me is, I love every genre. You name it, I have their bands on my ipod and listen to em. What I just listed above are alternative bands. I also love rock, punk rock, metal, heavy metal, and all of that kind of music. Godsmack, System of a Down, and Lincoln Park being by favorite in the rock category.
I'm so screwed up that I even like pop. Evanescence, Avril, K Klarkson, etc. Did I mention I enjoy rap too? Eminem is very clever. I like classical music because I was raised to play piano since my youth. I actually just got on a piano documentary that made it to the film festival. I like slow relaxing music like from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, which has a Celtic kind of swing to it, and the flute just makes your mind wander. It blows my mind everytime I hear that. Enya sings a lot there too.
I'm so boring that I'm even bored myself.
