Default Tea

I really like tea, sometimes more than coffee.
Chamomile, mint, cinnamon, green, even regular Lipton. I love Earl Grey.
Recently I've taken to some masala chai I picked up at an Indian grocery store
Really I've never met a tea I didn't like, unlike coffee (I hate Starbucks coffee).
I'm not too big on fruit teas because you can't really taste it without adding sugar

I couldn't survive without two cups of tea daily (Lipton). That is the only mood-altering substance I consume.

I should have written, "... except for my medications".

Same here, except in Minnesota we spell it "b-e-e-r."

Tea doesn't do a lot for me. Even strong tea tastes mostly like hot water, with just enough hint of flavor to be irritating.

Sometimes I'll drink it after dinner, or to deal with a sore throat.

Default It's my moms fault

Java, if you want to taste a great tea, it's called Rooibos (redbush), Lipton also package it. It is made from twigs fro a plant that grows in only one valley in the world, here in good old SA. It has got no caffeine in it, and is almost too healthy. The taste does take a little bit getting used to, but it is great.

Look out for it a t all good tea shops (you also get Fair Trade ones, but alas, like most Fair Trade products, it just does not taste that good)

As for my own love - I am a coffee addict, but thanks to my moms cultural influence, I do drink at least one cup of tea a day (with a cucumber sandwich, mmm)

Tea is good stuff, especially the iced variety. I'm not much of a fan of herbals, but Mate is really good stuff. Although often marketed as being caffeine free, it's definitely a stimulant -- I find it as potent as coffee, but it never makes me feel ill when I drink too much, never makes my hands shake, and never makes me feel "on edge" -- so I think it superior in that regard (though I still love coffee).

All Starbucks coffee? There are so many varieties, it's hard to imagine hating them all. Is it just that it's brewed too strong for your tastes?

It may not have caffeine in it, but something about it makes me woozy or lightheaded if I drink too much -- this kind of turned me off of rooibos. I don't drink it on its own anymore, but sometimes mix it with other teas.

Good one.

My brother in law is from Minnesota and is a big walleye fisherman. He's all excited because he made the fishing nationals (?!!) and is going to be featured on ESPN2 sometime in the near future.

Good for him!

I've got a 6-year-old daughter, and just picked up a fishing boat this year (my wife's grandfather's old boat). So at the moment I'm an avid bluegill fisherman.... er, hook-baiter.

I like tea. Green teas, fancy health food teas, etc. But I don't love it. There is only room for one love. Let's just call it "cold barley tea".
