Default So long, Herr Schumacher

For his first couple of years at Ferrari, I was a Schumacher fan... as I was a Ferrari fan. I jumped off his fan bandwagon after he tried to take out Jacques Villeneuve during the close of a championship run. But I'll say this for him, even with Senna as my all time favorite... Michael Schumacher was and is one helluva racing pilot. And one thing he had that Senna did not, was the ability (or opportunity) to truly build a team around himself... and make it work long term.

The FIA(t) is still a crooked organization. But here, they don't need to cheat others to ensure Schumacher wins another WDC. By cheating, they tarnish his achievements. Since my bonus is likely a little smaller because of our Renault backing, I cheer for Alonso. But it wouldn't kill me if Schumacher retires a WDC.

Helluva run today.

I know almost nothing about auto racing, but even I have heard of Michael Schumacher. This looks like an impressive list of accomplishments:

He holds many Formula One records, including those for most drivers championships, race victories, fastest laps, pole positions, and most races won in a single season.

hmmm yeah I wasn't too thrilled when the race stewards punished Alonso with that P5 to P10 starting position for a debatable infraction during qualifying. The Scuderia Ferrari's homecourt advantage at the Cathedral of Speed was abused imo.

And whats up between Schumacher and Montezemolo during the post-race festivities? Some bad blood going on between the chauffeur towards the President of Ferrari. Was MS forced out and just being a whiney soon-to-be ex-employee or does he have good reason to disrespect the Marquis?

Won't see another like him for many many generations so those records will stand for several lifetimes... which makes me glad I am around as he makes history.

If any of you haven't seen MS in action during an F1 race, it's not yet too late. Still 3 races to go before he retires

FORZA SCHUMACHER!
