Default What Is Wrong With My Computer?

I did a full scan on my computer for viruses with McAfee and there were none. I also checked for spyware with "Spy Sweeper for MSN" and there was no spyware either, which makes sense given the nature of the problem. You see, every few minutes, my computer will tell me that Internet Explorer has experienced an error and is going to shut down. However, it does not shut down.
I find, however, that each time it does this all cookies on my computer are deleted (I can tell by the fact that I have to sign in to this site and the fact that no low-risk spyware- i.e. cookies- were found in the spyware search). It just keeps happening. It has already happened several times this morning. I can't trace it to any site in particular, moreover. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with my computer? I appreciate all replies. Thank you very much.

Default .

try using system restore so you can revert to a state before this started to happen. also, for spyware and virus, i recommend AVG Free antivirus and SpyBot Search and Destroy for spyware. google avg free and spybot and they should come up right away, and are free.

also, "hijack this" will scan stuff on your computer and fix some components. but this might not help your case.

if all else fails, try firefox browser. or download IE 7, or reinstall windows.

Default Thank You Very Much, JMS!

I'll keep all of that in mind. I hadn't tried a system restore. I'll get on that right away.

Oh well- I guess I'll just have to live with it. It is really annoying and slows down everything I do, but it doesn't seem to have any other negative effects.

Try installing firefox or opera. Just don't use IE.

I may have solved the problem by finding the right restore point, but I won't get my hopes up.

Default OMG SUBJECT OMG

if you are getting send error report messages, you can prevent them from showing up if you'd like. try the following:

right click computer, go to properties

go to advanced tab, go to error reporting at the bottom, click "disable error reporting" and uncheck "but notify me when critical errors occur". and they should not show up anymore. but whatever problem is causing the errors will remain unfixed.
