I'd have to imagine being a female spider is like being a vampire. You always end up killing those you love over bloodlust... but you don't even get to be immortal or turn into a bat or anything. All the loneliness and despair but none of the quirks.

I bet Charlotte didn't tell Wilbur about this. It's better that way. It's better that the pig live on with an idealized view of his mentor. He need not know that she was a killer and a cannibal.
