anymore?
My son (age 6) started choking on a lifesaver this year, but I heimliched that thing right out of him (it flew across the room after expelled from his throat). Two things that should be mandatory to graduate from high school in this country: basic first aid class (including the heimlich maneuver) and CPR. Catz

allegedly are supposed to be teaching the 3Rs, at a minimum.
Of course, thinking for one's self...how is that taught, precisely? I learned to do it in Mr. Flanagan's Debate class during 11-12th grade when he forced us to repeatedly argue and research both sides of an issue. I'd be okay with mandatory logic classes, too. Catz

I F100 must chastise myself for the 'stupid parents' comment. I did say ' The ones that will not be sued are the stupid parents who did not watch the kid and the producer of the inane movie the kid was watching ' \
The parents suffered a most horrendous tragedy and I have no way of knowing whether they had any real control over the incident. No one should lose a child. I got caught up in my rant against inane lawsuits and rushed to judgment about the parents. [/quote] |

What a tragedy... And what the hell were they doing taking a 3-year old to see that movie? Was the kid not having ENOUGH nightmares? |
