Default Irritating noise/sound

The most irritating thing one has to listen to are those cheesy cellphone ring tones, like cartoon songs. I prefer the sound of a lawn mower on a Sunday morning to that torture.

One of the best sounds is a train whistle from far away. It's perfect at night.

I was watching CNBC last night an they were doing a segment on the UFC and Ryan Franklin. They showed how hes making money in and out of the ring.

At one point there he was in a sound booth recording a 'Ryan Franklin' ringtone, which consisted of him IDing himself, giving a quick UFC prop and a demand to pick up the phone.....I thought, who the f**k would pay anything for that and who would have the lack integrity to let it played in public on their phone.

A Perfect Circle - PASSIVE lets me know someones calling.

I agree on ringtones... not just cartoon themes, but all of them. Because everyone seems to have them on MAXIMUM (*)(*)(*)(*)ING VOLUME!!!
I'll be trying to work, listening to the radio- and all of a sudden my world will come to a sudden end as I hear some part of some crappy hip-hop garbage at about a million decibels!
And then the idiot calling doesn't seem to get that the person owning the phone has left the desk and calls again- repeating the same part!

No sound infuriates me more.
If I were to impose one Dracconian law on cell phones, it would be to put all of them permanently on vibrate.

Speaking of Train Whistle, I used to live in Carrollton, Texas where is the central part of railroads joint zone. The train Whistles were blowing Days and nights, nights and days, it almost drove me Crazy. I kept on wondering that am I living in 18th century or 21 century every time when I woke up in the middle of night by the train whistle. Is any way we can UPDATE the train whistle to a less annoying sound?
