I'm not impressed with Nightwish's new singer. She's too poppy and doesn't carry the feel of the old singer... Granted, she also doesn't carry an ego the size of Texas and that's why she's the new singer.
I actually think the band would have preserved its original atmosphere better by having the man who sometimes does vocals take over lead... but that would probably be a pain for him as he's already playing- and commercially it would kill the "chick singer" novelty.

So I guess I get why they did what they did... but I'm not happy with the outcome.

I've always thought they were overrated... not as much as the Beatles... but still overrated.

I think they're the music equivalent of Jaws and Friday the 13th... The amount they impress you is directly proportional to your age.
Maybe they were important influentially... but for full music quality, overrated.

I think Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath were both better anyway.
