I'm glaad it was at least as treatable as it was - and I hope that this will be the end of it.

I've been pretty impressed with your posts here. Once I accumulate some reputation and credit (and once I figure out exactly how that works!) I'll send some your way.

Anyone who cites Tarja Turunen in her signature is all right in my book. I'm an old metal head and could never get my wife to appreciate it - then she overheard me listening to Nightwish's Phantom Of The Opera. Tarja Turunen may have saved my marriage!

Best wishes and best health!

Thank you very much for your kind words! Do you have Tarja's album yet? It is really quite amazing, I can't stop listening to it!

I haven't picked it up - nor the new Nightwish. I think I might be afraid that both the band and she had a magic together that they might not have apart. I'm sure I'll get over it and pick it up soon enough.

The "End Of An Era" DVD provided an excellent way to show my music appreciation class for adults with developmental disabilities how disparate genres of music can be blended to create something new and innovative. They LOVED Tarja, and teh whole class audibly gasped when they heard her last note of the live version of Phantom.

The new Nightwish album, Dark Passion Play, I would not recommend. It's an okay album, with songs like Amaranth and Bye Bye Beautiful, which are by far the best songs. The others...not so good.

Tarja's album My Winter Storm is a must have! She will seriously blow you away. Her music is so different now she is free of Nightwish, she can go her own way, and it's obvious she is in a good place!

Yes, diet and excercise don't really help with my symptoms, though. Pity, because I eat pretty healthy...most of the time. Not.

I like what I've heard online. Maybe it's time!

I also refuse to believe some of the things the band said about Tarja. In some of the extras on End Of An Era I noticed a few attitudes the band expressed toward her that would make anyone mad - Marco's little comment about "a bit of foreskin" was infantile and suggested a really rotten attitude toward her.

I don't believe anything they said about Tarja. I think they were sick of her and wanted her gone, and they decided to get her out by making remarks about her, and sending her that letter to humiliate her.

Have you read her blog on www.mywinterstorm.com? She's a beautful writer, and it's obvious she loves all her fans dearly.
She ran a few competitions on her official website and even called the winners! Imagine that, she actually rang these people up and spoke to them. I don't know of anyone who is so dedicated and who values their fans as much as she does. She's just a incredibly sweet person, I think.
