Good god...
I played Dragon's Lair so much, I could get through the entire game without dying once. I played TRON so much, I could go for a half-hour on one quarter (yes kiddies, arcade games used to only cost 25¢ to play). And Sinistar?? There was nothing more bad-ass than that robot thing screaming "I hunger!!" Man...and the funny part is...I have pretty much all those games today...on about 4 or 5 little PS2 disks.

Defender was my arcade game of choice. man that thing had tons of buttons.
edit hmm now need to research it.. joystick and five buttons. Defender is a horizontally-scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game created by Williams Electronics in 1980. This game was slow to become a hit when it was released as many thought it was too difficult due to its control configuration of five buttons and a joystick. It ultimately gained many fans and remained popular throughout the 1980s. Defender has been described as "quite possibly, the hardest significant game there is".[1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defender_(arcade_game) ![]()

Ah the good old days.
When I commanded line traced tanks that blew up other line traced tanks. When I tried to defend the world from aliens of multiple types. When I tried to keep the bugs from getting to the bottom of the screen. When I had money to spend on that crap, and time to play them. Gotta say, arguing with you people is a lot cheaper and just as time consuming.
