We are on alert to evacuate in my area. The fires are two and a half miles away from us.

Keep the whole state in your kind thoughts and prayers--(if you pray). The smoke is hazardous. Wildlife are disturbed and confused. Homes are threatened.

We just evacuated the Buddhist monastery. The smoke is terrible but so far, everyone is safe.

Wow. Paradise has been real dicey. At least in my county there aren't so many people. Lots of wilderness. We're told the smoke we're experiencing will be with us until October.
