An exercise in non-debating
I want to see if anyone can define in their own words (no copying from a dictionary) different political terms. My hope is that without any debates on validity, or negative replies, we can try to see the viewpoints of others. I would hope that nobody is quoted unless it is to congratulate them on a well thought out response, or to expand positively with your own interpretation. Not to argue or disagree.
The first word I want you to define is Patriot, I'll even start with my own definition.
To me, the definition of a patriot is one that puts the interests of their nation and it's people ahead of their own.
Now let's see how far we can get before the fighting starts.

We must rapidly begin the shift from a thing-oriented society to a person-oriented society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, militarism and economic exploitation are incapable of being conquered.
