Default Summer full of Blockbuster Hits: Pick one

This summer has a pretty large line up of sure-shot theater giants. I'm thinking some records will be broken... what about you? What do you plan to see? Which one looks disappointing? Promising? Feel free to include the ones I haven't.

Star Trek for me..Reason: Leonard Nimoy acting again..No other reason..but I do want to see how star trek is reinvented..The star wars prequels actually helped Star Trek return..

Wolverine origins, just saw it on dvd. Looks awful. Think Wolverine in love and caring about people. He's become a wuss just making monkey faces..

other than that..I don't care.

I'll go with Terminator. I was a fan of the series (as the films "Judgement Day" fell on my birthday). Looking at the trailer, this version of John Connor's story looks excellent.

Coming in at a close 2nd is Transformers 2. The first one was amazing visually, with a decent (and funny) storyline. Michael Bay never really disappoints me... so I'll be checking that out.

and lastly, G.I Joe.

I caught the teaser while watching the Superbowl, and I've been interested ever since. Looks promising..

Terminator without Arnold is crap. The movie ignored all previous films..it's a shame for real fans like me...

Tranformers the first film was a ******* mess! Michael Bay made it a GM commercial. I don't know if you ever watched or read the tranformers cartoons...but that film was NOT what transformers was or is..Starcream has one line in that movie...transformers was never about the kid and his love story..it was about cybertron and the war on earth between the decepticons and the autobots...I could care less about Transformers 2.

GIJOE...what a shame..looks like a Swat Team or James bond film..crap again..Everyone is wearing black tight suits and it has nothing to do with the original ideas or cartoons...

Real fans? lol

The film features a young Kyle Reese, the development of the original T-800 model 101 Terminator, and Connors rise as leader of the resistance. hardly "ignoring previous films". Machines going back in time to kill someone gets old. It'll be nice to see the result of skynets awakening.

Sounds good in theory..but the film looks awful. Bale looks NOTHING like Connor from T2 or T3...it's confusing..

At least Obi wan looks like Obi wan in the prequels.

And remember what The terminator tells Connon in T3 that he's the one who shoots him..and he's the one that sends him back..we assume that arnold also in the future. if you were a real fan you would know that Arnold is a general Human in the future we see in this new movie.

educate yourself and go here..

http://www.hopeofthefuture.net/delet...s/t3del15.html

the terminators from the future face comes from Sgt. Candy's body mold. He should be in this film if not..that's pretty lame because arnold himself has explained in the past that he is a human general in connor's future.

Transformers 2 is my 1st option. I love me some transformers.

Jedi, you cant make a movie strictly about robots with no human element to it. 1st, the budget for the CGI would be astronomical. 2nd, nobody would go to see it.

Wolverine is my 2nd option. I love me some X-Men. And with Gambit? Double bonus.

Then Terminator. I really dont care for these movies, but they are mind numbing entertainment.

GI Joe. Meh, Dennis Quad as Duke? Destro looks like a pansy. Snake Eyes looks cool and so does Storm Shadow. Cobra Commander??? Anybody seen him?

I got a feeling its gonna suck. What was that video game Jean Claude van Dam made that sucked? Street Fighter or something???? Just with better CGI. I just have a bad feeling they screwed it up already. We will see, but I am doubtful. I just cant see a small, tiny Destro with no shiny head being a good thing.
