Good video. I feel that when I go to the highlands, Glencoe and up toward Skye there are huge mountains and empty spaces and the scale of it makes one realise how miniscule we are, in the scheme of things.

Who knows what else is out there?

Although I live a in a fairly large city, I also must escape to the Ocean, or to the mountains, to refresh my batteries, and to get in touch with my self, and my Maker. But I do love the madness of the City. Seldom a dull moment.

It's human arrogance which makes us believe we are so important. A long look at the sky on a clear night should knock that idea on the head, but it doesn't.

Nah, it's simple self-preservation.

An earthworm may not be self-aware and it probably doesn't spend much time looking at the sky but it acts in the exact same way that we do. If it acted as if it wasn't the most important creature in the world but that, say, moles and blackbirds were more important than itself then there probably wouldn't be earthworms around.

The only difference is that we know of ourselves. So we tend to invent things to cater for that tiny peculiarity.

I marked we are one of trillions. I didn't take it as civilizations, but as trillions of aspects in the universe. We are simply not important to anything but ourselves. It's difficult for humans to accept, but it's the truth.
