If you saw the fetus as a person, you would not be in favor of giving the mother the right to kill it.

but compared to a "back-street abortion" where knitting needles and dirty coat hangers were used - that could and did kill both mother (from blood poisining and internal bleeding) and the fetus - Well then looking at it like that one could say it IS actually both a progressive move and more palatable!

Yeah, when allowing her to murder her child, we should make it as comfortable for her as possible. That seems to be yoiur logic.

Why wouldnt I blame a woman for killing another person?

I am so pro-woman that I am advocating that it should be against the law to kill female babies.
