His tax cuts were good for the economy, but the negative effect of the deficits he has run up far outweigh the good influence of the tax cuts.

I don't recall seeing any evidence to support the first part of your statement. But I certainly agree with the second part...all the borrowed money will have to be repayed with interest, a certain burden to future economic expansion.

Then you obviously haven't paid attention to economic growth or unemployment rates over the past few years. Bush took over during a recession, and we are now having sustained robust growth only a few years after the tax cuts. You can call this a coincidence, but you cannot rule out the fact that the tax cuts added to a growing economy.

It's just too bad he decided to do it at the same time he decided to start raising spending and sending the military off to Iraq.
The deficit is going to haunt us.

And I haven't seen any legitimate evidence that the tax cuts have had any substantial effects on economic growth.

Since you somehow deny that tax cuts work I highly doubt that.

Your kidding right? So you think Coolidge, Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush are all idiots on that issue or you just being a Democratic Hack.

Show me legitimate evidence in this specific case(that Bush's tax cuts are correlated to any substantial growth in the economy)...I have yet to see any.
Abd by the way, it has nothing to with who I think is an idiot.

Key word in your demand is "legitimate." It's a glaring loophole for you to tout when actually shown proof. Legitimate by whose standards? Do you get to choose? I'll go out on a limb and guess you'll call any evidence that disagrees with you as illigitemate.

Oh, no, I don't play like that. I disagree because I haven't seen any reputable evidence, not "I haven't seen any evidence because I disagree ". Plain and simple. Just show me some evidence.
