I fully support the death penalty, and would support extending it's use to include sexual predators and child molesters.

I believe it was Steve Martin who once suggested the death penalty for parking violations.

George Carlin suggested it's pointless to execute drug dealers. If you want to get rid of drugs, execute the bankers that launder the drug money.

Suffering and revenge is the entire point of any type of punishment, capital or otherwise, and darned well ought to be!

That is incorrect.

Removing the threat is reason enough for the death penalty. It reduces the chances that the individual will kill again to zero.

In addition, the Death Penalty, if consistently enforced, serves as a deterrant to other potential criminals.

Revenge is for children and the emotionally retarded.

First, why is revenge for the "emotionally retarded," so called?

Because it accomplishes nothing real.

The first accomplishes something real. The second only gives you the illusion of accomplishment. That seems obvious to me.

It might make you feel better, but beyond that it accomplishes nothing. It solves no problems.
