Technically, Britain.

Morally, perhaps Argentina.

Practically, leave it up to the inhabitants.

Common sensically, stop caring about a tiny rock in the middle of nowhere where the sheep outnumber the people.

Default Britain

It belongs to Britain same as Gibraltar!!!!!

Quote:
British sovereignty over the Falkland Islands and Dependencies rests on a secure historical and legal foundation. In 1690 the British, led by Captain Strong, made the first recorded landing on the Falkland Islands, which had no indigenous population before the arrival of settlers in the second half of the eighteenth century. The first British settlement was established in 1766
http://www.falklands.gov.fk/1.htm

All the natives of the Islands want to remain British.

"O Lord our God arise,
Scatter her enemies
And make them fall;
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God save us all!

Thy choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign;
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen!"

If Argentina wants them - come and get them!!!! If they dare.

Ireland belongs to the UK - I mean just look at the map of the BRITISH ISLES

C'mon Nawbut my dear fellow - you must learn to think outside of the boxes to understand the Brtish Empire.

The Falklands is a dependency and the population wishes to reman British

Would you forcibly evict them? and give it to Argentina

OR (rather than answer my question you could ...)

if you like you can talk about how some poor Irish people were forcibly evicted from there homeland by the nasty British LOL

Default .

The wishes of the inhabitants must count for something.

The humans want to stay British and the sheep have grave reservations about joining Argentina

Nowadays, Argentina shows the highest rate of red meat consumption in the world, 130 pounds per capita in a year. This rate is extraordinarily high... Argentina deserves to be called “The country of the meat”.

They are British, and, I didn't know there was a problem. By the way, is that little corner of Cuba American or are you borrowing it?

@ John.

With a sheep to human ration of 5000:1, the four legged inhabitants should be polled about this issue.

The 50 square miles occupied by the U.S. Naval station at Guantanamo Bay has been leased since after the Spanish/American war ..but since it was a lease enforced by threat of force, its legality is debatable.

Lease terms are $4,000 a year with the requirement that both the U.S. and Cuba must mutually consent to terminate the contract.

The Brutish Empire is the box of the most backward human mind-set from which we have been trying to extricate the human race this past couple of centuries - but its not working.

You have successfully infected the more feeble minded ones with all of that nostalgia of glory, race, power. Just look at where you have left your poor Yankee cousins with all of that baggage! Strange visions.

If you want to visit someplace, good luck and welcome...you dont have to plant a flag on the beach.

Should the Spanish (not Gibraltar) towns inhabited primarily by the British disaffected ex-pats (those who want to be British but not to the extent that they would actually want to live there) be governed from Westminster?

Are the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan really just tourists? Germans with towels.....?
