Your opinions on how long until an attack against Iran by the USA happens. Or maybe, will Israel attack first?

I have voted other, I would not want America to attack Iran, there's enough bloodshed in that part of the world as it is. It is evident that Iran (Syria and Pakistan) are over run with anti Western feeling and are supporting the radical elements in Iraq (the president of Pakistan is either a fool or a liar).
Such anti Western feeling cannot be smashed with an iron fist, in my opinion it would make the situation worse.
I'm afraid that Western governments will have to talk to governments that quite clearly hate them and all they stand for, it is the only way a peace (of sorts) will be achieved. The problem with that part of the world is that there are two sects of the same religion fighting for dominance, the Western world cannot understand it and are unable to intervene in a practical way. Western forces should get out of there and leave them to it. It would be likely that they would end up with extremist countries who could then be sanctioned by the rest of the world. Will there ever be peace, I doubt it, but why should Western soldiers give up their lives for a people who hate them so much

In my opinion, it is a bad idea to assault another country if one has recently concluded invading another. The reasons for this are:

-Increased taxes on the citizens of the attacker
-Increase in the amount of soldiers needed
-Decrease in the amount of allies willing to follow
-Increase in the amount of resources going towards warfare
-Increase in death and ill feelings by other countries towards the attacker
-Increase in the time needed to achieve exceptional results (with a max. of 8 years for the US gov't, unless each succeeding president has the same goal)
-Loss of opportunity for advancements in other fields
-Decrease in support of the nation in its own government unless the government can achieve quick decisive victories.
-Increase in amount of resources going into the invaded country to get it back on its feet (the increase is exponential when dealing with more than one country)
-Overall, a strategically and economically bad idea

In general, one shouldn't invade another country when one's hands are already full.

Despite the fact that all of Europe knows that the first thing Iran will do when they become nuclear is attack Israel, yet, Europe will stand back until it's too late (as always). I'm beginning to understand why Americans feel like they do about Europe. At least China appear to be taking care of North Korea.

I don't think Iran would be dumb enough to nuke Israel. But I do think that Bush will declare war on Iran no matter what Congress or anyone else says.
