When the boomers die off, the number of homophobes will drop precipitously as churches are already having enough problems trying to keep people coming for Sunday service.
The rabid hate and intolerance certainly isn't helping except with individuals who need to hate others or else they are forced to look inside themselves and see the empty shell of a human being that they really are.
That's why the regressives are ramming these and other ultra-conservative legislation through, they know that their time is running out.
I wonder how many other of these "social wedges" will also vanish with the boomers...

Wanting to force its redefinition for NO LOGICAL OR PRACTICAL REASON is intolerant and hateful ,and Americans have had enough.

The government should get out of a (*)(*)(*)(*)ed lot of things. Including inheritances and such. But you do need a way to make sure that wills are adhered to and the rights of surviving spouses are taken care of. The specific SANCTIONING of marriage is what they specifically should have no juristiction over.
