What is your definition of socialism?
Ideology: anarcho-communism
“Whoever lays his hand on me to govern me is a usurper and a tyrant, and I declare him my enemy.”
I voted for collective ownership of the means of production and workplace, but the common definition of (both marxian and left communists) socialism also requires cooperative control of the economy.
By the way, what branch of communist thought do you identify with? (to OP)

belief is what is important, not so much what you believe, for instance, an ordinary sugar pill without belief helps no one, but with belief it can cure your ills and it can be quite the amazing little pill - the magic really comes from within

Socialism is an economic policy, not a form of government. Anything from a dictatorship to a democracy can be socialist which simply indicates government control over the economy. Nearly all governments in the world are socialist to one degree or another, even the US. Of course Democrats push for stronger socialist policies, Republicans also favor socialism mainly through subsidies and tax breaks.
So don't kid yourself Republicans, you are socialists, albeit a diet/lite version.
"May our Federal Government be reduced to a very simple organization, and a very inexpensive one; a few plain duties to be performed by a few servants."

Wouldn't it be easier to just use the actual definition? Having everyone make up their own seems silly.
