As long as they forgo any public assistance, sure.
Henry George's theories were based on land ownership and how far a business was from a public resource like a mill or waterway. The man lived and died a decade before the model T was produced much less modern transportation and communication. Not only did Henry George never hear of the Internet, he barely lived long enough to see the electric light. Applying the theories of Henry George to modern nations is about as risky as letting the most brilliant caveman design your next airport.

Maines motto is Vacationland , I think it was meant for tourist not residents who spit out kids after kid and do not take advantage of the schooling benefits http://www.fixwelfare.com/the-problem/

I have said it many times we need to end welfare , we also need to train workers in good jobs not CNA's or Bank tellers both those jobs suck , train people as Machinists and Nurses etc and they can earn a decent living at a full time job

if they will not do it let them starve
Interesting info on Maine. But it would not effect me much as my SSD would be the same in any State because it is a Federal program. For the most part what I am sensing on this thread is most are for SSD but at the same time there is a lot of dissent about other programs like State welfare, food stamps, etc. I am against the abuse of the welfate system too. My animosity is when disabled people like me get lumped into that lot.
-truth is subjected to the prism of which we view it-
