Default Republican/Democrat spectrum

Just curious what the make up on this board is.

EDIT: Darn it. Obviously option 6 is supposed to be

"Consider yourself a Democrat, but take the Republicans side on a number of issues"

But I can't seem to edit or delete the poll, just this post.

I selected "outside of the political spectrum" simply because socialists are not liberals. Furthermore, the misconception about us wanting to collectivize "everything" is intolerable - we want to collectivize the means of production.

This poll perfectly describes what is wrong in politics today.

Too many idiots who view political issues in BLACK or WHITE. You're either a Democrat, or you're a Republican...period. You might share views, but (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), you've GOT to be one or the other.

Just remember the LAST President we had, who was a "third party" president. I'll bet 3/4 of you folks couldn't answer this question without Googling it.

Default I

am thinking you may want to redesign the poll. I did not vote either. I think "conservative libertarians " are not very comfortable in the Republican party. Republicans are no longer conservative except on social issues. The question is, do you want to know how many registered Repubs, Dems, Greens there are? or do you want to know more about people's political philosophy?- Libertarian conservative, neo-con, liberal, progressive, socialist.

I am inclined to vote for Democrat but I am often unhappy with the expansion of unnecessary rules and regulations associated with Dems.

My impression is that the forum has a large share of neocon Republicans. Many of the moderate people who used to post on the forum seem to have abandoned us.

Sadly I can't with how this forum works. But I suppose I could start a new one at a later date. However only ten options are allowed, which means you can't capture every variation on political beliefs.

Still you'd think in a board like this people who do place themselves in the spectrum should be around.

Or maybe I should have had change 4 and 6 to "generally vote republican or democrat but may or may not consider myself one"

For now just vote "outside of the political spectrum" (which should be reworded to this spectrum).
