the thing about nukes is that each country has its own radiation signature depending on how the bomb was made so even if he did give it to an extremist groupwe would know it came from irand by testing the radiation signature. but youre right, it would be a lot easier to get away with doing conventional attacks. and if were still in iraq at that time, he could continue the insurgency without worry of a retaliation.

For one they might just use someone elses design. But also the whole point of having "extremists" break in and steal the nuclear material is the government being able to mostly wash their hands of it.

But I do think the much more certain threat is doing stuff that otherwise would get them invaded.

However I won't totally rule out use of a nuke. The concept of mutual annihilation means you have to really believe the other people will push the button. I'm not so sure if Iran nukes a carrier group that they'd probably claim infringed on their territorial water that Obama would order to unleash bedlam on the country. And if they don't think he would do so......

If USA dares attack Iran, a large number of metal coffins will be showed off in Washington. And somebody will have to explain that.

Half of US army earned mental disorders in Iraq. The other healthy half will soon become crazy as well. In some 10 years, we will be seeing the most powerful army in the world a big pile of loonies. Plus, the administration will have to justify future large military spendings to the people.

Iran is no threat to USA. Leave them be. Don't wage Jewish wars.

I get that feeling a little too. With their national holiday and everything I doubt Iran is going to turn their nuke program around.

What do you think Perham? If Israel or US forces hit the reactor and the centerfuges in a nighttime air raid, and the next day the leaders were calling for an invasion into Iraq would you and/or other Iranians be down for that?

I won't ever participate into an invasion. I don't know about the others, but I think they think similar to me. however, I will surely defend my country on a US invasion. probably they will answer such attacks with missile and air attack.

oh, and we've never invaded iraq. they started the war, and we were defending ourselves.

Iran has been a nuisance and a pain in the butt.....However there is not ample proof against them to justify going to war.

Let Israel fight its own battles. Certainly Ahmedinejad has said awful things about Israel, well if they dont like it let them do it. We should stop trying to be a bully and instead try some diplomacy for once.

Yes I dont want them to have nukes, but who are we to say that someone else cant have them when WE are the ones who have more than anyone else??

heck we are the nation who dropped the A bomb.
