They still have PE where I am. All the geeks and fat kids have no problem with it. The only ones who have any problem with it are the "cool" kids who sit around doing nothing because it pisses off the teachers. Then all the geeks work twice as hard because they hate the "cool" kids and want to show them up. Forcing people to run half an hour is a poorly developed idea, but the idea of having daily physical activities for students is definately good. Eating a bowl of Sugar Flakes every morning and then sitting perfectly still for 8 hours is not a recipe for fitness.

I don't care whether kids are forced to exercise or not. I don't care how fat kids get, just as long as the do gooders stop trying to ban junk food in schools and fast food advertising to prevent fat kids getting even fatter. THAT drives me nuts.

We have, right now, a bunch of 'concerned' parents who want all food products with images of The Wiggles, Shrek etc to be banned, because their precious little brats throw tantrums in the supermarket when they see these products.

Know what I think? Diddums. Give the kid a good clip round the ear, and put your foot down. Say no. The biggest problem with childhood obesity today is parents allowing their children to walk all over them.

............ just to keep ahead of inflation. What pizzes me off is that the government encourages mothers to shack up so they lose money if they marry there bed buddy.
