It may be "nice" to do this but no one has any obligation to help someone out when they have nothing to do with "getting them in", if you will.

You are the reason they have to serve you. If you weren't there, they wouln't have to serve you.

They don't have to work period. I'm being gracious if I choose to tip them.

Same here. I'll tip what I think is appropriate for the service. Good service = good tip (highest was about 45%), bad service = bad tip (really bad service doesn't get squat).

I don't ask for much in terms of service, basically don't forget about me. If they can't manage to do that, they deserve no more than the wage their employer pays them.

All servers start at 20% for me and for every time my drink goes empty without being refilled I deduct 1%, I also deduct 1% for my app coming out moments before my entree and also for leaving me unattended for long periods of time.

I always tip good. I don't calculate it or nothing. I just throw down a five or something. I'm a pretty nice guy when you're not a choicer.

I should start asking my waiters if they're prolife, that way if they're not, I don't leave them (*)(*)(*)(*)...

Why do you tip people in the U.S.A?

It's something that would take a long time to get used for someone who goes to the U.S. on a vacation. Is it just restaurants or do McDonald's workers get tipped too? Bartenders? Cleaners?

Sit-down resturants, some bars, cabs, pizza delivery, and some others. Mainly when someone has performed labor specifically for you.

I wouldn't tip the people at McDonalds even if it was the law.

Those (*)(*)(*)(*)s can't get anything right. That's why they're working at McDonalds.

I always tip period , I am not overly fussy about the service either , I never punish the waitperson because the cook was lousy either, I started out as a kid working in restaurants so I've been there. Anyone who never tips is a scumbag period
