She did instigate it... but I don't think there's any law against that. He is the one that pulled the trigger, after all.

It was wrong what she did in the first place---cheat.
It was wrong what she did in the second place--lie. I agree to her punishment. Her false accusations of her lover being a rapist resulted in her husband killing him. Still, her husband was not in grave danger. He should have just let him go since he posed no danger, unless I am missing something. But, he got away with it and she got it at the end. Nice ending.

This is a tricky one, considering the woman didn't actually kill anyone, her husband did. However, her husband would not have fired the gun had the wife not lied, which puts them both in the wrong.
Having said that, I like to think the husband did what any other husband would do if faced with the same situation. The husband clearly believed his wife was being raped, and shooting the man was a means of defending her. I think the husband will live with his guilt for a long time, I don't think you could forgive yourself for something like this, so I'd say the husband has suffered enough. The wife deserves everything she gets - the fact that she cried rape just sickens me. She has mocked rape victims, and should get nothing less than life in prison.

They should both be punished.
Taking the law into your own hands is not permitted for EXACTLY this kind of reason. Obviously the conditions should be taken into account for the sentences. The man should be given a lighter sentence due to the conditions. I don't think "murder" makes sense for the woman's charge. Manslaughter makes more sense.

Whether or not taking the law into your own hands is 'right' or not. Any self respecting man would gladly take the life of a person that caused harm to his wife or children. Atleast this self respecting man would. Rape is an unforgivable crime, and the repercussions can echo throughout the lifetime of the victim.
